Roaming Building Operator

Key Responsibilities
Property Operations
  • Conduct regular inspections across multiple properties and coordinate necessary repairs.
  • Respond to service requests promptly using building operations software (ANGUS).
  • Maintain and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Support budget preparation by gathering quotes and providing operational input.
  • Monitor operating costs and assist in staying within budget parameters.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency call-outs as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security protocols.
  • Supervise contractors and enforce service contract standards.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety.
Administrative Support
  • Submit detailed monthly expense reports.
  • Ensure accurate vendor billing information across properties.
Leasing Support
  • Ensure properties are clean and presentable for leasing tours.
  • Provide access and support to leasing teams as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a building operator role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
  • Professional appearance and demeanour.
  • Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license with a clean abstract.
