Your New Role
The Building Engineer will be a part of an Operations team responsible for the safe and efficient operations of a significant retail and office property in Surrey. You will be reporting to the Operations Manager in this role. The ideal candidate has experience as a Building Operator / Engineer on commercial and/or retail properties. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Performing repairs as well as regular and scheduled maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure WorkSafe BC regulations are met and enforce WorkSafeBC safety standards.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, inspections and equipment performance.
  • Provide leadership to your team, stakeholders, and clients.

What you’ll need to succeed
  • 4th or 5th Class Power Engineer Certification.
  • Experience with mechanical, HVAC, DDC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
  • Prior building engineer / building operator experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
