Bridge Engineer Structural.

Structural Engineer Location: Vancouver, BC Company: HAYS Recruitment (on behalf of a leading client)
HAYS Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading engineering firm to recruit a Structural Engineer for their Vancouver office. This is a key technical role for a professional with bridge and structural experience, ready to contribute to complex, multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects and support long-term client and team success.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support structural and bridge engineering projects from concept through to completion.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Participate in client meetings, providing technical insights and updates.
  • Review engineering designs, calculations, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Support proposal development and contribute to bid strategies.
  • Analyze project risks and assist in developing mitigation plans.
  • Monitor project budgets and schedules for cost-effective delivery.
Qualifications
  • Licensed P.Eng. in Civil/Structural Engineering (mandatory).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in bridge or structural engineering, including involvement in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as S-Frame, STAAD, RISA, SAP2000.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven experience working on multimillion-dollar structural projects in Canada.
Work Environment
  • Hybrid Schedule: Onsite Tuesday to Thursday.
  • Location: Vancouver office.
  • Travel: Not required.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $90,000 – $140,000, based on experience and qualifications.
