BIM Lead/Manager opportunity with an established contractor in the GTA

Your New Company
An established engineering contractor in the GTA is looking for an experienced BIM Lead/Manager to join their team to play a critical component in the execution of design, construction, and technical drawings.


Your New Role
As a BIM Lead, you will play a key role in managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) operations for complex projects. You’ll leverage your expertise in Revit and AutoCAD to create accurate models and drawings, while ensuring quality standards and seamless coordination across teams. This position requires strong technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Your New Role
You’ll work under the guidance of a Senior Team Lead to provide comprehensive BIM coordination support. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and update BIM models and drawings using Revit and AutoCAD from sketches and design data.
  • Manage BIM operations, including mentoring technicians, resource allocation, and quality control.
  • Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and outsourcing partners for clash detection and issue resolution.
  • Prepare As-built drawings, Trimble point layouts, and parametric families for prefabrication.
  • Review and correct drawings, ensuring compliance with BIM/CAD standards and minimizing errors.
  • Set up Revit views, work sets, and manage work-sharing processes for project teams.
  • Create electrical system layouts and ensure integration with structural, mechanical, and architectural components.
  • Maintain document and model storage systems and adhere to confidentiality and proprietary standards.
  • Stay current with modelling techniques and contribute to departmental standards.
  • Liaise with project teams to implement drafting requirements and support multiple projects efficiently.


What You Need to Succeed
  • Education & Experience: Diploma in architectural design, computer drafting (AutoCAD/Revit), electrical technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; advanced knowledge of Navisworks and Design Review.
  • Strong understanding of 3D layout, design, and BIM workflows.
  • Ability to create and manipulate Revit families, views, sheets, schedules, and filters.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Core Competencies:

  • Superior time-management to handle multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with diverse teams and maintain confidentiality.
  • Travel:
    Occasional travel may be required.
