Our client, an architecture powerhouse, and a large multidiscipline firm, is looking to add an BIM Coordinator to their team in Calgary. With decades of experience in the industry & multiple award recognitions for sustainability, design, planning & development this is a special opportunity to make an impact on the built environment. Your team will be compromised of architects, engineers, planners, and interior designers that work collaboratively across various market sectors.

Your new role

In this role your duties and responsibilities will include: Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards and workflows across projects. Coordinate BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. Facilitate collaboration between architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors. Conduct clash detection and resolution using tools like Navisworks or BIM 360. Provide training and technical support to project teams on BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD). Maintain and manage project-specific BIM content and templates. Ensure BIM deliverables meet internal and external standards and client requirements. Participate in project coordination meetings and provide BIM-related updates. Monitor BIM workflows and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Stay current with industry trends and emerging BIM technologies


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will need a minimum 5 years of experience in a BIM-related role within the AEC industry. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other BIM tools. Strong understanding of construction documentation and detailing. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Experience mentoring junior staff and supporting team development.
