Bilingual Compensation Specialist

Your new company

An established and prestigious law firm is seeking a Bilingual Compensation Specialist to join their team in a Hybrid role based in Montreal. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, and compensation frameworks to support strategic HR initiatives. The organization is known for its structured environment, commitment to excellence, and collaborative culture, offering a unique chance to contribute to high-impact HR programs within the legal sector.

Your new role

In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and administration of compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and annual review cycles. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to analyze market data, maintain system accuracy, and ensure alignment with firm policies and legislative requirements. You’ll also lead testing and enhancements within the Workday Advanced Compensation module and prepare reports and insights for senior leadership. Staying informed about legislative updates and supporting compliance efforts will be key to your success.

What you'll need to succeed

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, comfort working with HR systems (Workday experience is essential), and the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively. Advanced proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of Canadian compensation legislation, including pay equity and employment standards, are important. Bilingual fluency in French and English is required. A compensation-related certification (such as CCP) or interest in pursuing one will be considered an asset.
