Now Hiring: Senior Bilingual Accountant for the Ottawa/Gatineau Region

Your new role

A Senior Accountant with skills in financial analysis and reporting, plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with accounting standards. The senior accountant will report to the Business Unit Controller and work with the operations side of the business also.

  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in the ERP financial records.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end and year-end closing.
  • Analyze financial data in excel and trends to explain variances.
  • Analyze results along business divisions and product lines.
  • Manage AR aging, bad debt analysis and early collection activities, such as customer emails and preparation of statements.
  • Assist with audits (internal and external) by preparing necessary documentation and responding to queries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
  • Maintain internal controls.
  • Work with finance teams, auditors, and management to support financial decision-making.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • Bilingual
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS.
  • Proficiency in ERP Microsoft Business Central – D365.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
