Hays Specialist Recruitment is partnering with a leading organization to hire a Auditor for a long-term contract. This opportunity sits within the Corporate Accounting team and offers exposure to complex financial reporting, treasury-related accounting, and intercompany transactions. You’ll be joining a collaborative and detail-oriented team where accuracy, analytical thinking, and strong communication are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly variance reports related to interest income and other financial metrics
- Record quarterly accounting entries for restricted investments
- Manage quarterly and annual accounting for insurance captive structures and insurance programs
- Prepare Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) and financial statement note disclosures for interest income and foreign exchange
- Perform intercompany and inter-affiliate settlement processes
- Collaborate with Finance, Corporate Accounting team members, and IS teams on SAP testing (intercompany, external loan setups, treasury derivatives)
- Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting requests, and special projects as required
- Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting processes and documentation
What You Need to Succeed
- Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience
- Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business, or a related discipline
- Professional accounting designation (CPA required; CGA/CMA acceptable equivalents)
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
- Knowledge of consolidation accounting and financial statement presentation, including US GAAP
- Experience working with multiple functional currencies
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (ECC and BPC preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
