Your new role

As an Associate, you will manage a variety of plaintiff-side personal injury and property loss files. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Drafting pleadings and legal documents (e.g., Statements of Claim, Notices of Motion, Mediation and Pre-trial memos)
  • Conducting legal research and preparing for discoveries, mediations, motions, and other court appearances
  • Reviewing and summarizing medical and file documentation
  • Handling client inquiries with professionalism and empathy
  • Maintaining organized, deadline-driven files
  • Negotiating settlements and contributing to a collaborative team environment

What you'll need to succeed

  • Law degree from an accredited university
  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience (plaintiff personal injury and/or insurance litigation preferred)
  • Strong drafting, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office and comfort working in a paperless environment
  • Experience with Accident Benefits and Primafact is an asset
  • Willingness to learn and develop expertise in property loss litigation
  • Positive attitude and strong organizational skills
