Your new role

As an Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in managing all on-site construction aspects for single-family homes. Your role ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Oversee daily on-site activities—monitor progress, maintain cleanliness, and enforce safety protocols.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating subcontractors, materials, inspections, and equipment to meet project timelines.
  • Conduct frequent job site walks, daily logs, reports, checklists, and punch-lists, ensuring adherence to design specs and quality standards.
  • Inspect quality construction and identify deficiencies—manage corrections and conduct final walk-throughs, including homeowner orientations and warranty follow-up.
  • Foster relationships with trade partners, suppliers, inspectors, and clients—ensuring smooth communication and workflow.
  • Maintain a safe job site, enforce safety policies, lead toolbox and safety meetings, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with project document management: RFIs, ASIs, as-builts, submittals, and other relevant records.
  • Support the Superintendent in scheduling, site logistics, milestone planning, and progress tracking—even leading in their absence.

What you'll get in return

  • High school diploma or equivalent (some employers may prefer post-secondary education).
  • 1–3 years of experience in residential or single-family new home construction.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
