Your new role

The Assistant Site Superintendent supports the Site Superintendent in managing day-to-day construction activities, coordinating trades, and ensuring projects stay on track. This role contributes to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance while fostering clear communication across teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Superintendent in managing daily site operations and project coordination.
  • Identify and resolve trade performance issues, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Synchronize activities between trades and subcontractors to avoid scheduling conflicts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site by ensuring proper storage of tools and materials.
  • Verify readiness of materials, tools, and plans before tasks begin.
  • Conduct routine inspections and correct issues early to prevent delays.
  • Review completed work to ensure quality standards are met, with minimal deficiencies.
  • Walk all units regularly to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Compare on-site work to project drawings and specifications, resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with inspectors to secure occupancy permits and verify system installations.
  • Track daily expenses and ensure adherence to budget expectations.
  • Optimize labor and material usage to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Coordinate timely material deliveries with procurement teams.

Qualifications

  • Valid Provincial Driver’s License (required).
  • Previous experience in residential construction or site coordination is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Alberta Building Code and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
