Assistant Property Manager

Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Tenant Support
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Property Manager and team.
  • Handle tenant communications, service requests, and documentation.
  • Maintain organized records and assist with reporting and workflow updates.
  • Participate in health & safety committee activities and internal initiatives.
Operations & Vendor Coordination
  • Assist with building operations including maintenance, janitorial, and security.
  • Monitor property conditions to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Support contractor coordination and vendor management.
  • Help enforce lease obligations and service standards.
Financial & Budgeting Assistance
  • Contribute to budget preparation, variance reporting, and forecasting.
  • Assist with invoice processing, purchase orders, and CAM reconciliations.
  • Support financial documentation and reporting, including Yardi cross-training.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial real estate or property administration.
  • Post-secondary education in property management or business-related fields is an asset.
  • Familiarity with property management software (Yardi preferred).
  • Basic understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
