Site-based role assisting with construction of a multifamily project in Vancouver.

Your new company

Our client is a locally owned and managed real estate development and general contracting company that specializes in multi-family projects in Metro Vancouver. With in-house development, finance, accounting, construction, sales and marketing departments, they pride themselves on creating a collaborative, team-based culture. They are currently developing a range of mid-to high-density condominium, quadplex and apartment projects and are planning to continue growth and expansion throughout Metro Vancouver. The company builds their own projects in house as well as undertaking construction of multifamily projects on behalf of other developers locally.

Your new role

The Assistant Project Manager is an interesting role that will be based on site full-time, assisting with construction of a new-build wood-frame multifamily project in Vancouver. This will include the processing of RFIs and submittals, supporting the PM in contract negotiations and updating and amending the schedule. You will be an integral part of the project team and will work closely with our trade partners and consultants in a collaborative and efficient manner. The role will report directly to the Director of Construction, but will also work closely with a Project Manager who is based full-time on the project also. This role will provide broad exposure to the construction process and an excellent opportunity for professional development.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate is a Project Coordinator with 3–5 years of local experience and relevant degree-level education. Ideally, this experience will be with a local General Contractor or Developer/Builder. We need someone that is a confident, articulate communicator that can interact with people at various levels.

What you'll get in return

The expected base salary depending on experience is
$90,000-$110,000. The company offers a competitive compensation package plus a comprehensive benefits plan. The role will offer the opportunity to work with and learn from capable seasoned professionals in a dynamic and engaging environment.
