Hays Construction & Development has partnered with our long-term ICI GC client to recruit for an Assistant Project Manager position in Ottawa! As part of their ongoing projects in Healthcare throughout Ontario, this position is available immediately. Your new role

As the Assistant Project Manager, you will assist on various hospital projects in both new builds and existing hospital environments. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, tracking and implementation of projects from beginning to end. You will work alongside clients and other stakeholders to ensure the success of the project.

Based in Ottawa, you will be required to travel in Ontario once a month for short periods of time. You will assist Project Managers and coordinate with other Project Coordinators and Assistant Project Managers.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you should have at least some Healthcare project experience, new build or capital projects, ideally with several P3 projects under your belt. Your post-secondary education should include Engineering or Architecture or Construction Management. CAPM or PMP is an asset, as well as possessing strong IT skills and the ability to get along well in a team environment utilizing your excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
