Assembly operator

Your new company

Our client is a leading microelectronics manufacturing and engineering firm founded in 1987 specializing in the miniaturization, design and manufacture of custom microelectronic circuits. They offer unique electronic packaging design services for the medical, military, avionics, sensor and high-end industrial markets.

Your new role

  • Perform precision hand assembly of electronic components using tools such as tweezers, soldering irons, and microscopes.
  • Execute rework and touch-up of surface-mount and through-hole components following engineering or quality control feedback.
  • Interpret and follow assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions accurately.
  • Inspect work in-process and upon completion for compliance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
  • Utilize soldering techniques that meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Handle and assemble delicate components in ESD-controlled environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation and comply with all safety and quality regulations

What you'll need to succeed

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary technical training is a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in electronic assembly or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certification or equivalent training are strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in manual soldering and hand assembly techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
  • Familiarity with ESD protocols and safe handling of sensitive components.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
