Architectural Project Manager opportunity - Toronto - Retail Projects

Hays is currently partnered with a notable architectural firm who are looking to hire an experienced Architectural Project Manager to manage a portfolio of high-profile retail projects. The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of professional architectural, with at least 3 years of experience managing projects throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple retail architecture projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to develop design solutions aligned with brand identity and operational needs.
  • Oversee the preparation of architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, accessibility standards, and other regulations.
  • Lead OAC Meetings/Meeting Notes/Distribution
  • Lead project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate design reviews, approvals, and construction administration.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve issues to maintain timelines and budgets


Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of architectural experience, with the past 2-3 working as a Project Manager
  • Retail/commercial project experience
  • OAA license preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, spelling and grammar capabilities.
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills
  • Strong proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Office.


Compensation:
  • Salary negotiable based on experience (~ $90k-$110k)
  • Discretionary bonus
  • 3 weeks' vacation
  • 10 personal days
  • Extended health and dental benefits
  • Hybrid work (2-3 days per week in office)
