Your new role

• Develop and maintain Android features that integrate with backend ML services for search, recommendations, and catalogue enrichment.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and ensure efficient data exchange.
• Optimize app performance for real-time personalization and low-latency interactions.
• Implement robust UI/UX components that reflect dynamic, ML-driven content.
• Work closely with product and design teams to deliver intuitive and engaging user experiences.
• Ensure code quality through testing, reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and mobile strategy for personalization and search.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Android development, with a focus on scalable, data-driven applications.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Experience integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with MVVM architecture, Jetpack components, and reactive programming (RxJava, Coroutines).
• Understanding of mobile performance optimization and real-time data handling.
• Experience working with cloud-based services (preferably GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
