Your new role
As a Senior Android Developer, you will be a key contributor to the mobile experience, integrating backend ML services into the Android platform. You’ll collaborate with ML engineers, backend developers, and product teams to deliver seamless, personalized search and catalogue features to millions of users.
- Develop and maintain Android features that integrate with backend ML services for search, recommendations, and catalogue enrichment.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and ensure efficient data exchange.
- Optimize app performance for real-time personalization and low-latency interactions.
- Implement robust UI/UX components that reflect dynamic, ML-driven content.
- Work closely with product and design teams to deliver intuitive and engaging user experiences.
- Ensure code quality through testing, reviews, and adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and mobile strategy for personalization and search.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Android development, with a focus on scalable, data-driven applications.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.
- Experience integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with MVVM architecture, Jetpack components, and reactive programming (RxJava, Coroutines).
- Understanding of mobile performance optimization and real-time data handling.
- Experience working with cloud-based services (preferably GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
