Your New Role
As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats within the hospital’s IT environment. Reporting to the Senior IT Manager, you will ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, conduct risk assessments, and support the implementation of security policies and tools. Your work will help safeguard sensitive patient data and maintain the integrity of critical hospital systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents using SIEM and other tools.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in remediation efforts.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of security policies and procedures.
  • Investigate security breaches and prepare detailed reports.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as PHIPA, PIPEDA, and other mandates.
  • Assist in security awareness training for hospital staff.
  • Stay informed on emerging threats and technologies relevant to healthcare.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in information security or IT security roles.
  • Strong understanding of network security, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks (PHIPA, PIPEDA, HIPAA).
  • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
