A growing and mission-driven organization within the real estate and housing sector is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team. This organization is focused on developing and managing community-based housing initiatives and continues to expand its portfolio across multiple regions.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative accounting team, with exposure to established financial processes and industry-leading systems.
This role is a contract opportunity created due to an immediate vacancy.


Your New Role
As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will support day-to-day accounts payable operations within a busy and collaborative accounting team. Reporting to a Senior Property Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions while supporting broader accounting functions.
This role is well suited to an early-career accounting professional looking to build experience in a real estate environment and gain exposure to full-cycle accounts payable processes.
This is a fully onsite role based in Vancouver, with standard Monday–Friday business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
Key Responsibilities
  • Process vendor invoices, including validation, coding, and matching for purchase orders and receipts.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Prepare and process vendor payments (cheque and electronic)
  • Reconcile vendor statements to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Perform corporate credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
  • Enter financial transactions into accounting systems, including Yardi Voyager
  • Generate reports to support the accounting team
  • Assist with bank and account reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end activities
  • Collaborate with property and project accountants on financial reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes


What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or financial administration
  • Experience working with accounting software (Yardi Voyager is an asset)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in building a long-term career in accounting
Nice to Have
  • Experience in real estate, property management, or housing/non-profit sectors
  • Exposure to Yardi Voyager or similar ERP systems (Oracle)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
