Hays Specialist Recruitment is partnering with a well‑established property management organization to hire an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk for a 3‑month full‑time contract, with potential to transition into a permanent role. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced accounting environment and enjoys contributing to accurate, efficient financial operations. You will join a collaborative, detail‑oriented accounting team dedicated to delivering high‑quality internal service and support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions accurately and on schedule
  • Reconcile invoices, statements, and identify discrepancies or issues requiring follow‑up
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents, records, and supporting files
  • Perform data entry and financial updates using Yardi accounting software
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing questions and discrepancies
  • Assist with invoice tracking, payment runs, and month-end support activities
  • Support ad hoc tasks, special projects, and additional accounting duties as required


What You Need to Succeed
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an AP/AR Clerk or similar accounting support role
  • Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems
    (Yardi experience considered an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
  • Understanding of basic accounting concepts and transaction flows
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small finance team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    and other Microsoft Office applications
