A growing, client‑focused accounting and advisory firm based in Uxbridge, Ontario. The team supports individuals and small businesses with tax, bookkeeping, and practical financial guidance. Recent marketing efforts and word‑of‑mouth have driven strong demand, and the firm is scaling its bookkeeping offering accordingly. The environment is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and improvement‑oriented, with headcount expected to increase over the next year.

Your New Role

Position: Accounting Manager (reports to the Owner/CEO) You will lead the bookkeeping function and act as a quality gate for client financials.

Manage and mentor the bookkeeping team (expanding over the next 12 months).
Oversee monthly fixed‑price bookkeeping packages for a broad client portfolio.
Review financials for accuracy and highlight potential business issues.
Lead onboarding and cleanup for new clients, ensuring smooth transitions to QuickBooks Online (QBO) and compliance with internal standards.
Engage the team in cleanup processes and drive documentation, timeliness, and quality.
Growth path: Clear progression to Senior Manager with scope to build out the team.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

5+ years in a public accounting firm.
2+ years of people management (coaching, workload planning, performance).
Expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO) — critical.
Strong critical thinking, leadership, and stakeholder communication skills.
