Hays Specialist Recruitment is partnering with a well‑established professional regulatory organization to hire an Accounting Coordinator on a contract basis. This organization plays a key role in supporting professionals across British Columbia and operates within a collaborative, mission‑driven environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the full Accounts Receivable cycle, including invoicing, account monitoring, reconciliations, and collection coordination
  • Manage Accounts Payable processes, including invoice review, approvals, coding, posting, and payment processing
  • Prepare and process electronic and online payments in accordance with internal controls
  • Reconcile corporate credit card statements and review employee expense reports
  • Maintain accurate financial records to support audits and reporting
  • Provide general accounting and administrative support to Finance and other departments
  • Assist staff, registrants, and external contacts with finance‑related inquiries
  • Coordinate administrative support for Finance and Audit committees, including meetings, materials, minutes, and catering


What You Need to Succeed
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of accounting and administrative experience in a professional office environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using accounting software (Sage 300 is an asset)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exposure to General Ledger (GL) systems
  • Experience working with expense reporting and corporate credit cards
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Solutions‑focused and proactive problem‑solver
  • Excellent judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
