Your new role

• Perform month end close procedures for all assigned business areas, includes all accruals and reconciliations with exposure to monthly variance analysis to operations and management.
• Understand and establish timely reconciliation procedures to ensure harmonization between Divisions, and between accounting program sub ledgers and their control accounts.
• Actively work with the Director - Finance to address any issues with reporting and improvements to the reporting process.
• Support the accounting team to ensure delivery of timely and accurate financial information.
• Provide analysis to drive improved decision making, as required.
• Assist with ad-hoc requests and analysis and accounting projects as required.
• Support the continuous process improvement initiatives to increase operating efficiency and data accuracy.
• Demonstrate visible support for an inclusive and diverse company culture where actions that reduce environmental impact are prioritized.
• Participate in continuous learning opportunities that develop the skills needed to advance sustainability goals.

What you'll need to succeed

• 2+ years working in an Accounting role
• Working towards Canadian accounting designation an asset
• Skilled in month‑end close, variance analysis, reconciliations and reporting
• Strong analytical and communication skills
