Systems Specialist

Our client, is looking for a System Specialist to join their team to support their infrastructure

Your new role
  • Provide first-point of contact for customer assistance with issues and requests
  • Perform troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions both in person and remotely.
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers and see problems through to resolution
  • Accurately track, route and redirect problems to correct resources, escalating unresolved requests to the next level of support
  • Document solutions and develop guides to assist customers with future issues
  • Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed customers’ expectations
  • Deploy and maintain end user devices including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Install and maintain end user software
  • Develop and maintain internal procedure documentation for new or revised processes
  • User onboarding and offboarding fulfillment
  • Maintain an IT Asset Management database and produce relevant reports
  • Wireless network troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Recommended procedure modifications or improvements
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates
  • Assist in updating training documentation for new and revised software and hardware
  • Other projects as assigned


What you'll need to succeed
• Four years of experience providing Help Desk support
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business computing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
• Excellent time management and project management skills
• Documentation experience required
• In-depth knowledge of help desk software and remote support tools
• Strong client-facing and communication skills • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
• Customer focused mindset
• Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP networking, switching, and routing
• Multi-site hybrid Active Directory experience an asset
• Microsoft 365 experience including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and AzureAD an asset
• Successful City of Calgary Police Information/Criminal Record Check
