Your New Role
As a Studio Manager – Mechanical Engineering, you will lead the Mechanical Engineering studio, overseeing its business performance, project delivery, and team development. You’ll manage staffing levels, ensure technical excellence, and contribute to the studio’s financial success. This role combines leadership, mentorship, and hands-on project involvement to optimize team performance and client satisfaction.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Education & Credentials
Professional registration with a relevant architectural or engineering association (asset)
Eligibility for Security Clearance
Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within engineering consulting
Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering public building projects
Technical & Operational Skills
Strong knowledge of architectural and engineering systems, including M&E and structural building systems
Familiarity with building codes, permitting processes, and construction methodologies
Ability to develop and manage operating budgets and studio performance metrics
Leadership & Soft Skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary teams
Strong client relationship and business development skills
Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making abilities
