BILINGUAL IT SOLUTION MANAGER Client: Manufactural Role: Bilingual IT Solution Manager Contract Length: Contract to Perm Salary: Open *depending on experience Location: Montreal Environment: Hybrid Your New role overview As a member of the Global Retail and Services Tower governance (TRIAD), the Solution Manager is dedicated to helping his/her Tower continuously improve its performance through new and innovative business solutions. The Solution Manager oversees the full lifecycle of the business’s IT solutions from definition, operationalization, maintenance and as required, replacement. S/he is responsible for ensuring the client receives the proper level of support from IS&T to fully exploit their solutions once deployed into production. His/her specific role in the TRIAD is to ensure the business achieves maximum value from their technology investments. S/he acts as spokesperson, guide and coach to ensure that IS&T understands and responds to the needs of the Tower in relation to expertise, management and evolution of their business systems. S/he also ensures that the Tower fully leverages the role and different areas of IS&T expertise in true partnership format. The position requires excellent communication skills, extensive technical expertise and strategic business acumen. The incumbent will work closely with clients, architects, the development team and managers . Your New Role ● Develops and proactively manages the lifecycle roadmap for technical solutions used by the business: mapping and coordinating major upgrades, feature releases, migrations, small improvements and new solution integration ● Ensures budgeting and planning for upgrades and small improvements identified on the Roadmap Ensures support teams (internal and/or external) are in place and effectively support the business applications. ● Monitors the technological landscape to identify opportunities for the business ● Proposes and influences technology-based solutions and innovations to improve business performance ● In partnership with IS&T stakeholders, ensures solutions are fit for purpose and serve the business need ● Oversees the release of new technical solutions for the tower ● Leads or collaborates in the product and vendor selection process ● Collaborates with procurement in negotiating costs and terms for technical solutions and services ● Ensures proper governance of Vendors, manages the ongoing relationship and monitors the service performance. ● Acts as spokesperson for the business stakeholders to ensure that IS&T understands and responds to their needs in relation to expertise, management and evolution of their systems ● Acts as the GoTo person for IS&T related needs and queries not addressed by regular IS&T support channels What You’ll Need to Succeed: ● Bachelor’s degree in commerce, management, engineering, computer science or a related discipline. Master’s degree is an asset. ● A minimum of 10 years of IS&T application delivery and support experience with expertise in one or more of the following functional areas: design, engineering, supply chain, marketing, sales, distribution networks, after market, production, procurement, logistics, finance, HR. ● Demonstrates breadth and in-depth knowledge of how IT solutions can add value. Ability to pair business needs with fit for purpose IT solutions. ● Proven ability to work and collaborate in a complex environment and effectively influence a diverse team of stakeholders and business leaders. ● Experience in the following IT platforms is an asset:, SAP, .Net Applications, Siemens TeamCenter, REST API.
