Our client is a leader in Pre-Fabricated Custom Home Builder. Located in Southern Ontario they are providing customers with personalized homes across the Niagara Region, Cottage Country.
Your new role
Communicate with customer by phone and in person.
Coordinate all sub-trades and workers.
Ensure home is ready for move in date.
Investigate new methods of increasing efficiency/productivity of site construction.
Work with customer after move in to ensure satisfaction.
Work with support staff to ensure Site Work Orders and information is sent to contractors before work begins
Review prints and change orders and complete Contractor Costing Sheets.
Study the house plans and the Production Order Sheets.
Problem solving at the worksite with the worker and customers.
Coordinate work for site/service crews daily.
Source new contractors.
Meet with customers on delivery day, communicate with delivery crew and contractors to ensure homes protected from elements.
Create “special team” work crews to complete tasks.
Work with building inspectors on any matter.
Coordinate and delivery of materials to and from work site.
Driving from site to site.
Complete PDI and TARION Inspections with Customers when home is complete.
Coordinate and schedule brick, sand, propane heat, etc. with contractors and support staff.
Deliver and return missed or extra material as required.
Comply with all safety policies and report any observed safety infractions to the H & S Coordinator.
Care for and respect Company Vehicle and tools.
Report any negative productivity, unnecessary expenditures or wastage of materials to the appropriate manager.
Ensure staff is adequately trained and have the resources to perform their duties efficiently.
Other tasks as assigned.
What you'll need to succeed
The position is for a Site Superintendent. A successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience as a stand alone site supervisor for residential sub divisions or custom homes. Proven track record of getting projects done on time with no deficiencies. Responsible for scheduling, guiding, supervising and ensuring high levels of quality with sub trades. Updated safety certifications and clean record a must. Computer skills: MS Office and email.
