Your new company
Our client is a Construction Management firm whose foundation was built on construction collaboration since their inception over 30 years ago. They operate as true construction managers wherein they partner with the client and designer from a project’s inception and manage the process from design through to completion. They believe this is the most effective solution to delivering a project as it maximizes the opportunity for collaboration. The first priority is to understand and adopt a client’s specific goals as they are then able to factor these into every recommendation made. The type of projects in this companies portfolio include Educational Facilities, Municipal, Recreational, Health Care, Commercial and Affordable Housing. They have experienced steady growth over the last few years and with a healthy pipeline of projects coming up they will be looking to add a Senior Project Manager to their team in Delta, BC.

Your new role
As Senior Project Manager you will act as a key member of the management team and be responsible for managing assigned construction projects. This will include providing guidance to project staff, oversee day-to-day functioning, develop and implement project plans and ensure the project is completed on time and on budget. You will be a primary point of contact for established and newly developed clients and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with their goals and priorities. As this company execute projects under the true construction management philosophy you will be involved from the initial inception and add value through the full project lifecycle.

What you'll need to succeed
This job requires 5 - 7 years of project management experience focusing on institutional and/or commercial projects locally. A relevant education in Construction, Engineering, or equivalent considered an asset. Prior experience managing projects under IPD or Cost Plus delivery also considered an asset. The position will require an individual with outstanding organizational skills and an ability to liaise confidently with sophisticated clientele. You must be able to maintain open and clear communication with all party stakeholders throughout the project life cycle. A great position for someone who enjoys being collaborative.
