Your new role
In this role, you will be working collaboratively with the sales team and Project Managers as they transform workspaces for their clients. The successful candidate will be involved in creating inspirational designs, preparing for and delivering client presentations, producing accurate drawings, and leading the client relationship throughout the process. Working closely with clients and leading the design team, you will be involved in all aspects of projects, ensuring that the design specifications lead to successful delivery of viable solutions. You will be working on a range of project types including corporate, commercial, education and industrial. With a strong understanding of the BCBC, you will develop drawing sets and complete the building code analysis for BP applications.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have at least 10+ years of experience in a local commercial tenant improvement design environment. You will have a strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, coupled with a strong design portfolio. You must possess strong knowledge of graphic design, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modeling/visualization software. You will have experience in all phases of a project including programming and planning. You will have a strong competency in interior design specifications, calculations and industry standards, and application of building codes and specifications. The ideal candidate will also be someone who keeps up-to-date with trends in office design and furnishings, and be able to build and maintain relationships with suppliers/vendors. Experience with Project Management and mentoring juniors will also be considered assets.
