Project Scheduler for a large ICI General Contractor in the Greater Toronto Area
Hays has partnered with a large general contractor headquartered out of the Greater Toronto Area. They have been around for 35+ years focused predominately in institutional, commercial and industrial construction but also do some residential projects. They are an award winning organization, with a leadership group who have a wealth of experience and knowledge in the industry.
The current opening is for a Project Scheduler, reporting into the Vice President of Operations. This individual will be responsible for the development of baseline, master and detailed schedules of ICI Projects. They will oversee all scheduling activities and provide projects status updates, forecasts and progress reports. They will track and analyze critical activities and perform coordination of cross-functional departments to identify any issues, action items and work with the Project Manager to mitigate.
The successful Scheduler will have a minimum of 5 years working as a Scheduler/Planner on ICI projects in the Greater Toronto Area and an Engineering degree/diploma (or equivalent). They will be advanced in using Primavera P6 and Microsoft project, and overall be highly computer literate. They will have strong communication skills, both orally and written and be able to diagnose, analyze and develop solutions to complex issues. Finally, this scheduler will be able to meet tight deadlines and be well organized with a high attention to detail.
