Hays has partnered with a leading national real estate company who has a diverse property portfolio across retail, office, industrial and residential sectors. This opportunity is within the retail property management division.

Your new role
As the Retail Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the marketing of a number of retail shopping complexes throughout British Columbia. You will be responsible for devising and implementing marketing strategies for the properties, including responsibility for the annual marketing plan, budget and schedule. You will make use of both digital and traditional marketing tactics, including website, social media, print, radio, television, events, ‘out of home’, PR and merchandise. You will lead all internal and external communications, including with tenants of the properties. You will plan and execute events, which will involve some travel to the properties. You will collaborate with outside vendors such as marketing agencies and media buyers. You will also measure and report on the results of marketing initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need at least 3 years’ marketing experience, ideally in the retail or property management industries. You should have excellent planning and organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality, and with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines. Communication will be one of your strengths, both verbally and in writing, and you are able to create and manage fruitful relationships with your colleagues, tenants and external vendors. You have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, as well as a thorough understanding of digital platforms and social media. As occasional travel is involved, you are required to have a class 5 driver’s license and your own vehicle.

What you'll get in return
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary within a range of $70,000 to $85,000 depending on experience, a monthly car allowance, plus a comprehensive benefits program.
