Process Engineer (energy efficiency)

For a growing consulting engineering firm with a great reputation, I am looking for a Process Engineer (energy efficiency) :

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Assist the sales team in determining client needs (operational savings, sustainability goals, operational issues, etc.).
Develop projects by constantly challenging your technical concepts to meet or exceed energy performance standards.
Develop operational efficiency measures that meet customer needs and respect established financial parameters.
Visit job sites to ensure compliance with concepts, plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
Manage energy and financial data, design, construction, change orders and ensure project objectives are met throughout the project life cycle.
Manage project documentation, as well as the procurement process with suppliers and subcontractors (tendering, bid evaluation, contract negotiation and management).
Plan budgets and closely monitor expenses.
Manage customer expectations and maintain good customer relations.
Organize meetings with clients and subcontractors to resolve any imponderables, validate that the implementation is proceeding as desired and that the energy savings and cost reduction objectives are being met.

PROFILE SOUGHT
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial or physical engineering
5 to 10 years experience in a relevant field
Good understanding of typical thermodynamic systems (steam generation and utilization, refrigeration, heat exchangers, ventilation principles, etc.)
Written and verbal communication skills (report writing, proposal presentation, interaction with project stakeholders)
Fluency in English to collaborate with offices outside Quebec, in addition to a good command of French
Interest in occasional travel to our various markets (expenses reimbursed by the employer)
