A well-established organization in the environmental services sector is seeking a full-time Controller to lead financial management and reporting. This future-facing role is ideal for a strategic finance leader who thrives in a collaborative, multi-entity environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence.

Your new role

  • Direct all divisional accounting and financial operations in alignment with corporate standards and IFRS.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
  • Strengthen internal controls and financial policies to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee working capital management, including receivables and payables.
  • Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles.
  • Deliver insightful variance analysis and performance reporting.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and margin-enhancing opportunities.
  • Manage and mentor divisional finance staff.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate closely with corporate finance to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit processes through documentation and issue resolution.
  • Lead adoption of new financial standards and corporate initiatives within the division.

What you'll need to succeed

  • CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) required.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, including 3+ years in leadership
  • Experience in a divisional or multi-entity structure preferred.
  • Experience working with a publicly traded organization is considered an asset.
  • Strong command of IFRS and financial systems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and team management skills across multiple departments.
