Your new role
- Ensure the effectiveness and constant updating of the administrative policies and procedures related to his responsibilities;
- Communicate the organization's strategic orientations to the personnel under his responsibility;
- Set annual objectives related to strategic orientations, and ensure the supervision, development and training of staff under his responsibility;
- Carry out annual performance evaluations of the staff under his responsibility;
- Support, coach and advise his team in their tasks, challenges and issues;
- Develop strategies and processes to improve the management of shopping centers for the benefit of customer service and the enhancement of the real estate portfolio in its charge;
- Work closely with marketing, leasing, operations, accounting, legal, construction and project departments;
- Maintain and develop strategic business relationships with key industry players, while promoting MACH's brand image;
- Implement customer satisfaction measurement tools;
- Supervise the preparation of annual operating budgets for the real estate portfolio under his responsibility and supervise variance analyzes in collaboration with the accounting department;
- Manage supplier accounts, supervise invoicing to tenants, operating costs relating to the real estate portfolio under his responsibility;
- Negotiate, conclude and supervise certain service contracts for the real estate portfolio in his charge;
- Ensure effective cost management in order to respect established budgets;
- Ensure that infrastructure, equipment and mechanical systems are maintained or upgraded in accordance with industry best practices and according to manufacturers' recommendations in collaboration with the Technical
- Supervisor and the construction and project department;
- Plan investments and develop capital expenditure budgets relating to the real estate portfolio under his responsibility;
- Ensure the maintenance of compliance with standards and compliance with all government regulations for the buildings under his responsibility;
- Support the leasing team and ensure lease compliance;
- Develop and maintain lasting relationships of trust with tenants;
- Supervise and support rent collection procedures;
- Conduct building tours on a regular basis.
- Perform other related duties.
What you'll need to succeed
- 8-10 years of experience in commercial property management
- Managerial experience, including of managerial staff
- Be an expert in retail real estate
- Excellent communication skills
- Business acumen, reporting skills
- Proficiency in French & English
