Hays has partnered with a global supplier of medical devices and solutions who are looking for a National Director of Business Development to join their team in Toronto, ON. This role is vital in managing, promoting and maximizing sales to corporate customers nationwide. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an established industry leader who products and services are sold in over 100 countries. *50% of the role will be conducted in the field across Canada

Your new role
As the National Director of Business Development you will report directly into the Vice President of Sales. Your duties and responsibilities in this job will include; sourcing new business opportunities with existing and new corporate accounts, managing relationships with Key corporate accounts through contract negotiations, rectifying product related issues, introducing new products and solutions etc. You will lead the national sales and market access strategies for key products and solutions, exceed annual growth objectives with partners, represent the company within major provincial healthcare organizations/ associations and develop strong relationships with key regional and national GPO contacts. Accurate forecasting on new contract and solutions opportunities and coach and develop any direct reports.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to have 5+ years’ experience in the same or similar role with demonstrated experience working and growing market share in corporate accounts on a national level. Prior experience in the healthcare industry or knowledge of the Canadian Healthcare system is considered an asset. You will have a track record of success working with corporate level accounts, come with a strong hunting mentality and are comfortable connecting with and presenting to C-Level execs . The ideal candidate is well organized, structured in their approach to the sales cycle and has strong critical thinking and negotiating skills.

What you'll get in return
The successful candidate will receive a base salary $140,000 - $150,000/ year (dependent on experience) + additional annual bonus, benefits package (heath + dental), company car + fuel card and RPP up to 6%.
