Our client is a prominent developer who specialize in iconic high rise mixed-use developments across the GTA. Due to ongoing company success and growth they are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Development Manager to join their team.

Your new role
We are looking for an Development Manager with a strong understanding of the full lifecycle development process to take the lead on multiple projects simultaneously. To be successful in this role, you will have been responsible for managing various projects in all aspects of high-rise condo, mixed-use developments, urban infill and commercial developments. Your responsibilities will include all of the following; planning research for new land acquisitions, proforma construction and evaluation, all required development approvals, site plan approvals, rezoning/minor variance applications, draft plan approvals and project budgeting. Working with experienced in-house planners you will liaise and negotiate with municipalities to ensure the best possible outcomes for a variety of projects across the GTA. You will report back to internal and external investors and the company Principals on all aspects of the proposed developments and projects.

What you'll need to succeed
You should have a minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Mid/High Rise Developments, Toronto Real Estate development and planning approval processes. A background and formal studies in Finance, Planning or Development would be advantageous. You should have experience with a wide range of residential and urban mixed use projects and have the ability to read and interpret various land-use, surveyor, engineering and architectural drawings. Working knowledge of development approval process including Zoning By-Law Amendments, Official Plan Amendments, Site Plan Control, Plans of Condominium and Plans of Subdivision.
