Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a well-known real estate firm with operations in Calgary, Alberta. We are seeking a Commercial Building Operator worker to join their team on a contract basis of 1 month to start, which has a strong possibility of becoming permanent. You will be working 8 hours per day, Monday – Friday.

Your new role

As a commercial building operator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of buildings daily operations such as performing maintenance and repair duties. This includes: · Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned · Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and controllers. · Maintain and complete documentation for fire suppression systems, building alarms · Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps. · Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have 4th class certification and 1+ year of similar experience doing building repairs or handyman duties. You will have electrical and mechanical systems experience and great communication skills.
