On behalf of Hays Canada I want to wish LinkedIn a very happy 11th birthday. I can't believe it has been 11 years since LinkedIn opened its doors and have since then changed the way people apply for jobs. I also want to congratulate LinkedIn for reaching the major milestone of over 300 million users. That is an incredible feat and one we should all celebrate. The use of social media, not just LinkedIn, but all channels for how we search and apply for jobs has revolutionized recruitment. We at Hays pride ourselves as being the global leader in recruitment and is why our digital recruitment strategy and digital service offering to our clients and candidates is second to none.
As a result, we are the number one most followed recruitment company worldwide on LinkedIn with over 500,000 followers, and the 26th most followed company globally. In Canada I am proud to also say we are the number one most followed recruitment company, a testament to our work in digital recruitment.
In October of 2012 Hays signed an innovative new agreement with LinkedIn to act as a partner for the roll out of new services and provide us with access to enhanced technology and services fully integrated into our systems. We are the only recruitment agency who can offer our clients the substantial benefits of our new ground-breaking deal with LinkedIn.
David Cohen, Director LinkedIn Talent Solutions, said: “Hays have proven to be one of the most forward thinking recruitment consultancies and its adoption of LinkedIn is a testament to where we believe the industry is headed.”
This is something we are very proud of and one of the reasons I am very proud to lead the Hays Canada business.
Recruiting in the digital age requires employers to think of all aspects of the channels available to them as a business, consider how they work together and be one step ahead of your target audiences at all times. Things such as mobile technology, job boards and aggregators, social media, pay-per-click, advertising, SEO and content marketing all play a significant role together to create an employer of choice brand and attract top talent. At Hays we understand this, embrace technology and are leading the way in recruitment.
I encourage employers to reach out to us to discuss your recruitment needs and how you are using your digital channels to attract the best talent available.
For candidates who are looking for the next great opportunity make sure you refer to our new Social Media section and how to create a digital profile.
